About us

Joshua Jones CFP®, founded MTXE Capital in 2013. Partnering with the Wealth Consulting Group, a Registered Investment Advisor, his goal as an independent CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ is to provide his clients with customized financial advice.

Joshua specializes in general financial planning, specifically wealth accumulation, preservation, and distribution. Tax and estate planning are conducted through long-standing relationships with specialists within their respective industries. 

Prior to establishing MTXE Capital, Joshua was employed by Intrust Bank in 2003-2004 as a Customer Service Rep III, servicing CD and IRA clients within the Wealth Management Division. During his tenure at Edward Jones he completed the requirements to earn the Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) mark in 2011 from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. He is currently enrolled in the Market Technicians Association curriculum for the Chartered Market Technician® designation – a three-year commitment that demonstrates a proficiency of investment risks and portfolio management. Upon completion, he will be one of just 400 globally with the CFP® and CMT® designations. 

Naturally, he believes in services to others. Joshua coaches youth soccer and mentors at-risk youth in Cheese Johnson’s UJUMP program. A former Shocker Athletic Scholarship Organization board member, he has periodically been called on for fundraising activities. Additionally, he has served multiple leadership roles, including the Edward Jones Leadership Team from 2009-2013 and a term as an elected official on the City Council in Park City, KS from 2003-2007. In his spare time, Josh enjoys spending time with friends and family as well as hitting the road to follow the Shockers, Sporting KC and the Vegas Golden Knights.
